5.6 Researching for my project has been really informative and at times entertaining. Yes I did know that gay parents faced certain challenges when deciding to adopt or for that matter just deciding to raise children, but I did not understand the many special challenges that they faced in the US.

I really thought that I would come down on the side of not letting gay people raise children, but my vision has been completed turned around by what I have found out.

6.3 Body Image

What is body image? The term body image refers to the view that a person has of his or her own body size and proportion. Body-image distortion occurs when a person's view of their body is significantly different from reality.
Mass Media is the biggest impact that we have on body image – the perfect body image in the US today is to be stick thin for women with a pair of unrealistically sized boobs for this body to carry around. Hollywood plays a huge role on body image in the USA, by demanding that their leading ladies be nothing but skin and bones.

4.1 Study habits - what are they - my study were deplorable when I first started my my degree, but as I have moved through the process of studying each course required in the program my study habits have improved vastly. The process of learning how to do research and sort information was a learning experience just in itself. Categorizing and prioritizing was another process that I had to learn. Why SQ4R is not taught at the beginning of the learning process is still beyond me.

4.2 My project identified in 3.9 'Should Gay People be allowed to adopt Children' is an extremely volatile subject, of course there are people both for and against adoption and gay people. Personally this subject is sure to turn up some interesting subject matter, it should take me the better part of of this weekend to continue with my research and put a rough draft together.

Interest in writing



The only interests I would have in writing, would be to write a killer best seller (or series) of best sellers to become filthy rich so that I would never have to work another day in my life, just live off of the residual income that would be flowing in from my books.



It would be really great to be another J K Rowling (spelling?). The admiration that I have for that women is unspeakable. J K Rowling came from a person who could barely scratch out a living to mistress of her fate.



Is it possible for all of us to do this, I think not, for then there would not be any poor people on this planet.





SQ4R



Does it work, apparently so, I am trying to learn the technique. Why for the love of God this is not taught in your first year of learning is beyond me. Do not instructors feel that this would be a good technique to apply to all of our classes?



SQ4R seems to be a great way to learn a large proportion of the work that one has to do to obtain a bachelors degree. Why again I therefore ask is it not taught in the first quarter of our degree?
